Meadows Stables, il ranch in Virginia che suo padre, gravemente malato, non può più dirigere. La donna ha una
conoscenza alquanto limitata del mondo equestre, per questo decide di avvalersi dell'aiuto dell'esperto addestratore
Lucien Laurin. Il sodalizio tra i due porterà Penny a primeggiare in un mondo dominato dagli uomini, arrivando
addirittura a vincere l'ambito titolo della Triple Crown con Secretariat, il cavallo da corsa più noto di tutti i
